That way you get 11 7 x 5 2 60 watts going into your battery bank instead of 100 watts.
Charge controller solar panel battery.
It regulates the voltage and current coming from the solar panels going to the battery.
The charge controller closely monitors the battery voltage and automatically reduces the flow of energy to the battery bank.
If the system continues to apply a charge the battery voltage and temperature rises.
This helps preserve the life and health of the batteries.
Mppt maximum power point tracking and pwm pulse width modulation.
When a battery reaches full charge it can no longer store incoming energy.
The solar charge controller sits between the solar panels and battery bank and prevents overcharging of batteries by limiting the amount and rate of charge to your batteries.
A charge controller or charge regulator is basically a voltage and or current regulator to keep batteries from overcharging.
The main function of a charge controller or regulator is to protect your battery from excess current and voltage.
There are 2 main types of charge controllers.
The good news though is that the power going into your battery array increases as it gets charged.
Solar charge controllers also prevent battery drainage by shutting down the system if stored power falls below 50 percent capacity.
The epever dual battery solar charge controller allows you to charge both batteries using the same connection from your solar panel or panels.
The dual solar charge controller comes with a remote meter that lets you monitor the state of each battery and the amount of power they are receiving.
The pmw solar charge controller will match the solar panels voltage to that of the battery bank that is 11 7 v but keep the current at 5 2a.
The charge controller regulates the voltage and current going to each battery.

Both will regulate the maximum voltage that the solar panel can send to the battery but an mppt charge controller can be up to 30 more effective at storing and transferring energy than pwm models.
Most 12 volt panels put out about 16 to 20 volts so if there is no regulation the batteries will be damaged from overcharging.
